Childlike Leif

This is my friend's OC Leif that I decided, after much request, to finally draw for her. This is him as a child, or at least it's supposed to be. I'm not very good at drawing children and had a hard time making him look young.
I gotta admit I really love drawing these detailed aquatic scenes. It takes a lot of time and there is a ton of shading that goes into it but it's really worth it to see this come out in the end <3
I gotta say the hardest part was all the blue. There really are just too many shades of blue. I would lay down the flat color and it would look entirely wrong until the shading was done.
